Counterfeit Parts Avoidance Awareness Training
In this webinar we will cover the role of the various functions within the organization as related to counterfeit parts avoidance awareness including: Contract Review, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Qualification Test, Receiving Inspection and Final Inspection.
We will discuss prevention and detection techniques including: requirements flow down to subcontractors, purchasing controls, subcontractor selection, subcontractor flow down, subcontractor monitoring, use of authorized distributors and use of original equipment manufacturers.
We will cover red flags found in various areas.
We will provide an overview of the role of the Government Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP). We will provide an overview the impact of the new FAR Regulation 48 CFR 52.246-7007 (DFARS 252.246-7007) as related to counterfeit parts control programs and counterfeit parts reporting requirements. We will review the need and the detailed requirements for an acceptable counterfeit electronic part detection and avoidance system. We will review the purchasing hierarchy required in DFARS 252.246-7008. We will also provide an overview of SAE 5553.
We will discuss the benefits of using the Government Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP).to provide counterfeit parts trend awareness and monitoring.
