Vehicle Manufacturers Expo Held for Law Enforcement, Fire Departments and Emergency Medical Services
On Oct. 2nd, Odyssey Specialty Vehicles, a leading manufacturer of emergency vehicles, hosted the Emergency Vehicle Manufacturers Expo to promote companies that manufacture emergency vehicles and related products for first responders including Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, and Emergency Medical Services. Federal, state and local departments and agencies attended the Expo to see the best and brightest technologies and solutions available to assist in their core mission of saving lives and protecting people. On hand were more than 30 exhibitors from as far away as Massachusetts, Ohio and Illinois, who came to New Jersey to participate in what is being hailed as a great success by both attendees and exhibitors alike.
The event coincides with National Manufacturing Day (Oct. 3rd) and was heavily attended by men and women of the police, fire, and EMS services, who were able to review and learn about the latest innovative vehicles and apparatus available to aid in their life saving work. In addition, attendees received hands-on training in emergency rescue tools to remove the doors and roof of actual automobiles and a demonstration by the Morris County Sheriff’s Office – Emergency Service Unit K9 division was also a big hit.
US Congressman Leonard Lance and NJ Senator Anthony Bucco were on hand to show their support and applauded Odyssey’s significant donation of a major mobile medical facility to the American Red Cross.
Inquiries from additional companies on participation in the next event have already started to come in and, needless to say, next year’s Odyssey Expo is expected to be even larger and better.
