Registration Open for Annual Made in New Jersey Event in Celebration of Manufacturing Day

The New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program Inc. (NJMEP), Morris Plains, N.J., has opened registration for its yearly Made in New Jersey event in celebration of the third annual Manufacturing Day.

The event, to be held Oct. 3 at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, N.J., will celebrate the importance of New Jersey’s manufacturing sector. The first part of the event (7:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.) will have a theme of Building a 21st Century Manufacturing Economy. This portion of the celebration will include networking opportunities, keynote speakers, and panel discussions on topics such as workforce development, recruiting and retention, innovation, growth, supply chain development, and logistics.

The second part of the event (12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.) will feature the Inaugural NJBIZ/NJMEP Manufacturing Awards to honor New Jersey manufacturers in a variety of categories. The deadline for nominating a company is Friday, Aug. 8.
