NJMEP Receives “Companies that Care” Award From CIANJ
Recently at CIANJ’s Fifth Annual Chairman’s Reception, organizers awarded New Jersey businesses with the “Companies That Care” award. An honor of importance, it was meant to echo the efforts of those companies determined to not only raise their own value but that of the entire state. Among those recipients working tirelessly for New Jersey, NJMEP was named for our community outreach.
Anthony Russo, President of CIANJ spoke at the event to the gathered companies. “For most of the companies we are honoring tonight, their generosity and kindness is part of their culture,” Anthony said, “The public is often unaware of the magnitude and scope of these good works. This reception is our way of shining a spotlight on ‘Companies that Care’.”
Recognized for providing close to 20,000 meals for New Jersey’s hungry in 2017, NJMEP also commits to raising money for scholarships through our annual golf outing, and find employment opportunities in the manufacturing industry for those with disabilities. While we do what we do for the State and its citizens, we are honored to be given this award by CIANJ, and hope it inspires other companies to do the same.
