NJBIZ Lists “The Next Generation of Leaders” in 2021
Two NJMEP Women Business Leaders Highlighted for Their Contributions to Industry
NJBIZ, New Jersey’s leading business journal, released its list of the 2021 Next Generation of Leaders and two of the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program’s (NJMEP) women business leaders were showcased. Juliana Canale and Constantina Meis were selected for their groundbreaking work in the manufacturing space. Both demonstrate exemplary leadership qualities. Juliana Canale is the senior manager of food safety for NJMEP and is the food manufacturing and regulatory expert. Constantina Meis is the Community Affairs Manager at NJMEP and uses her experience in the political, campaign, and non-profit space to help bridge the gap between New Jersey manufacturing and local policymakers.
“I’m thrilled that these two incredible women are being recognized in NJBIZ’s Next Generation of Leaders list. They deserve to be honored for their contributions to the local and national manufacturing industry. Juliana was instrumental in completely transforming the way NJMEP can support New Jersey food manufacturing companies and is helping connect MEP centers in every U.S. state to bolster food safety across the nation. Constantina has become a key asset in garnering more support from the New Jersey legislature to our local industrial sectors.” said John W. Kennedy, Ph.D., CEO, NJMEP.
Dr. Kennedy added, “Both of these professionals are critical components of the work we do here at NJMEP. We’re here to help support a manufacturing business no matter their product or their challenge. Food manufacturers have access to unparalleled expertise and experience when they come to NJMEP, thanks to Juliana. Manufacturing in New Jersey has never been supported by the local legislature at this current level before Constantina came on board. Both individuals are more than deserving of this honor.”
Manufacturing is a complex industry that requires state support and specialized professionals. NJMEP brings together leaders like Constantina Meis and Juliana Canale, among dozens of others, to ensure the organization has all the experience and capabilities to serve every manufacturing business in the state, operationally and professionally, while advocating for the industry and supporting the local community.
