NJ Manufacturers & Organizations Set to Celebrate National Manufacturing Day on October 2nd
New Jersey’s manufacturing community is set to celebrate the fourth annual National Manufacturing Day on Friday, October 2nd, 2015. The highlight of the state’s celebration will be the annual “Made In New Jersey” event, which is organized by the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program, Inc. (NJMEP). The event is scheduled for October 2nd from 7:30am – 12:00pm at The Palace at Somerset Park at 33 Davidson Avenue, Somerset, NJ 08873.
The agenda features a continental breakfast, networking opportunities, opening remarks by Carroll Thomas, Director of the Hollings Manufacturing Extension Program, keynote addresses by New Jersey’s Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno and Dennis Bone, Director of the Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship at Montclair State, and panel discussions on “Attracting the Next Generation to a Career in Manufacturing” and “Case Studies: Manufacturing in NJ; Challenges and Opportunities.” Click here to view the full agenda.
The event will also feature the second annual New Jersey Manufacturing Awards presented by NJMEP and NJBIZ. Winners will be announced live at the event in the categories of Manufacturer of the Year: Small (Less than 50 employees), Manufacturer of the Year: Medium (Between 51 and 250 employees), Manufacturer of the Year: Large (251 employees and greater), the Innovator of the Year Award and the Raymond Hopp Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence.
Manufacturers participating in NJMEP’s Made in New Jersey program receive two complimentary tickets for the event.
