New Jersey Celebrates National Manufacturing Day!
On Friday, October 4th, New Jersey joined the rest of the nation in recognizing the second annual National Manufacturing Day! The celebration was designed to “expand knowledge about and improve general public perception of manufacturing careers and manufacturing’s value to the U.S. economy.”
As part of the celebration, numerous events were held to honor the manufacturing community and manufacturers opened their doors to students, parents, educators and media members, among others, to educate the public about manufacturing’s processes and careers available in the field.
Manufacturing Day was a great success and NJMEP would like to thank everyone who participated. Here is a recap of the day’s festivities:
Made in New Jersey Breakfast at Rutgers University
On Manufacturing Day, NJMEP was proud to hold the Made in New Jersey Breakfast which was hosted by Rutgers University. The breakfast honored our Made in New Jersey manufacturers and the theme of the event was NJ Supply Chain: A Key Player in the Global Environment. The celebration included:
