Made in NJ Day Shows Manufacturers Making It Here
New Jersey manufacturers took to the halls of the State House today to educate legislators on the importance of manufacturing to our economy. Twenty-five manufacturers displayed their New Jersey-made products here as Senators and Assembly members from throughout the state gathered for their voting sessions.
Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno toured the exhibits in the morning, along with more than a dozen state legislators. Lawmakers, their staffs and people with legislative businesses moved through the hallways, manufacturers were able to demonstrate how they contribute to jobs and the economy.
Additionally, NJBIA handed out 200 “Sample Product Bags” with New Jersey-made products that attendees could take home with them.
“Every day, New Jersey manufacturers go up against competitors from across the United States and around the globe and still come out on top,” NJBIA President Michele Siekerka said. “Today was their r chance to tell their stories to policymakers and the public so everyone can recognize the importance of manufacturing to New Jersey.”
