Campaign Aims To Identify Products Made In New Jersey
The New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program’s latest campaign, Made in New Jersey, aims to put a stamp on the locally created treadmills of Aerobics Inc., in West Caldwell, and the vinyl windows of Bonded WeatherMaster, in Totowa.
Those are among the many companies that manufacture in New Jersey, and can be found on the Made in New Jersey site of the NJMEP, a nonprofit that trains manufacturers to become more efficient, so they can continue to make things in high-cost New Jersey.
Among the producers on the website: Bosco chocolate syrup, in the Towaco section of Montville; Frames4Everyone, a picture-frame maker in Clifton; and Library Automation Technologies, in Somerdale, which makes library self-checkout systems.
“New Jersey’s manufacturers not only contribute to our state’s economic growth, but supply innovative products to the entire world,” said Bob Loderstedt, president and CEO of NJMEP. “It surprises a lot of people to find out about the vast array of products created right in their backyards.”
NJMEP dedicated a section of its website to products manufactured locally; that page features about 60 organizations and their products. NJMEP also is using Facebook to promote the Made in New Jersey campaign.
