Technical Sales Representative Training
In recent months we have invested in an infrastructure that focuses on one of the most urgent issues within our industry: Hiring Skilled Talent!
With our new program, we are looking into one particular position that companies are eager to fill: Technical Sales Representatives.
Over 40,000 openings for Technical Sales exist in the state. NJMEP’s program will:
- Help Dislocated Workers enter high-quality, high paying jobs; and
- Help small and mid-sized manufacturers fill open positions in an efficient and cost-effective way.
Participants will complete NJMEP’s Technical Sales Operations training which now appears on the Industry-Valued Credential List published by LWD.
How Does it Work?
In a 6-week program, we train and prepare candidates for the job of technical sales representative in your company.
We focus on:
- communication
- presentation
- prospecting
- lead generation
- negotiation
- networking
- organizational skills
We are convinced that graduates of the program have the knowledge and skills to apply for your open positions and then perform in their new jobs.
You’ll have the opportunity to meet the participants, test them in OJT sessions and, ideally, find your next sales representative.
No Costs
The Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD) supports our program financially, if we, as employers in the manufacturing industry, can proof the high demand for qualified entry-level Technical Sales Representatives.
What Is In It For Me?
The advantage for you: you will meet participants during and at the end of the program. It will reduce the risk of hiring mistakes, you’ll see the participant’s development over the time of 3 to 4 months, and you’ll have the opportunity to hire them before other companies will even see their resume.
With hiring costs averaging between $4,000 and $6,000, it will be saving some money, too.
