​​Today We Feature the New Jersey Legislative Panelists for 2023’s State-of-the-State of Manufacturing Summit​ 

TOWN HALL PART 1: LEGISLATIVE PANELISTS​ 

​​NJMEP and NJBIA are bringing together bipartisan State Representatives to discuss the industry’s most critical issues and work toward more pro-manufacturing policies. The first Town Hall will include the following panelists responding to questions about the Supply Chain, Covid Recovery, and Incentivizing Manufacturers to stay in New Jersey.​​ 

Assemblyman Craig Coughlin received his B.S. in 1980 from St. John’s University and a J.D. in 1983 from St. John’s School of Law. Assemblyman Coughlin served as Parliamentarian from 2016 to 2017, and Deputy Parliamentarian from 2014 to 2016. He is currently part of the General Assembly (2010-present) and serves as Assembly Speaker (2018-present). (SEE MORE)


Assemblyman Chris Tully graduated from Northeastern University with his B.A. in Political Science. He is a member of the General Assembly (2018-present) and currently serves as the Deputy Majority Leader (2020-present). (SEE MORE)

​NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF LABOR: LISTENING SESSION UPDATE​ 

Nicholas Toth currently serves in the Murphy Administration as the Deputy Assistant Commissioner for Workforce Development. Prior to this role, Nicholas served as the first State Director for the New Jersey Office of Apprenticeship, where he has overseen development and implementation of the NJ Apprenticeship Network. Nicholas previously served in the Obama Administration as the Special Assistant to the United States Secretary of Labor, and held a Policy Advisor role in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Policy at the United States Department of Labor. Nicholas currently holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

TOWN HALL PART 2: LEGISLATIVE PANELISTS

​​The second Town Hall Discussion will include the following State Legislators, who will discuss with Industry Leaders issues regarding Regulatory, Capital Equipment, and Innovation Spending/Support.​ 

Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson attained her B.A. from The College of New Jersey (Sociology), her M.S. from Central Michigan University (Administration), and her C.M.F.O. from Rutgers University. She currently works as a Grants Administrator for Mercer County, and in the past, she served as Deputy Majority Leader from 2020 to 2021. Verlina is currently a member of the General Assembly (2018-present) and is the Constituent Outreach Chair for the Democratic Party (2022-present). (SEE MORE)

Assemblywoman Marilyn Piperno received her B.A. from Pace University (Literature/Communications). Marilyn works at The Atlantic Club as a fitness instructor and nutrition coach, certified by the Athletics and Fitness Association of America and the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Senator Kristin Corrado received here B.A. from East Stroudsburg University (Political Science) and her J.D. from Seton Hall University. She served formerly as the Deputy Republican Whip (2018-2019) and is currently serving in the State Senate (2017-present) as the Conference Leader (2020-present). Senator Corrado has been a staunch supporter of Agriculture, Commerce, and Industry in New Jersey, voting affirmatively on hundreds of bills that help support the manufacturers in New Jersey—bills like the Manufacturing in Higher Education Act (S659) which requires various State entities to promote manufacturing career pathways for students and provides assistance to the manufacturing industry. Assemblyman Antwan McClellan is a graduate of Virginia State University, Old Dominion University, and is a Registered Public Purchasing Specialist. Antwan works as the Personnel Director/Confidential Assistant/Public Information Officer at the Cape May County Sheriff’s Office, and he currently serves in the General Assembly (2020-present) and as the Republican Whip (2022-present).
