Manufacturing Cares: Announcing the First Annual ‘Jersey Guys’ Golf Outing
Last year, NJMEP established Manufacturing Cares, which is an ongoing program. Through this initiative, NJMEP and its network of partners work with the New Jersey manufacturing community to give back to others in various ways.
Examples of this include our food drive that we conducted with CIANJ, where 2.5 tons of food Community FoodBank of New Jersey, and support of Camp Noble Cause, which provides a fun camp experience to New Jersey-based families of active duty military personnel at one of our local NJ Boy Scout Camps, Winnebago Scout Reservation in Rockaway.
Golf Outing – July 29th
In 2015, the NJMEP community lost two close friends – NJMEP’s own Anthony (Tony) DeSantis, and Bob Beaman, a lifelong friend of our CEO, John W. Kennedy. Under the Manufacturing Cares umbrella, we wanted to find a way to honor their memories and scholarships have been developed in both of their names.
To support these scholarships, we are proud to announce the 1st annual ‘Jersey Guys’ Golf Outing on Friday, July 29th, 2016 at Minebrook Golf Club. This event will serve as a fundraiser and all proceeds will be split between the 2 funds.
The following is a list of items we are looking to receive as donations for the door prizes and/or silent auction:
- Golf Gear & Apparel
- Dinner (for 2 or 4) at various restaurants
- Gift Certificates at various delis, coffee shops, etc.
- Foursomes at various golf courses
- Sporting and Events Tickets
- Amusement Park Tickets / Passes
- Sports Memorabilia
- Various Baskets – including wine & food
- Electronic items
- Jewelry / costume & otherwise
- Vacation – Time share Weeks
