Ellen Pietrowicz-Phillips is a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader with a wealth of experience in both the manufacturing industry and the nonprofit sector. She served as a 55% owner of L-E-M until a partner buyout in 2014, during which she played a pivotal role in rebuilding the company after it suffered catastrophic losses from hurricanes Irene and Sandy. Not one to shy away from challenges, Ellen led the acquisition purchase of Quality Plastics Inc., further expanding her business portfolio. Under her leadership, L-E-M experienced remarkable growth, with a 51% increase in gross sales in 2022.
Beyond her business endeavors, Ellen has been actively involved in her community, serving as a board member of Saint Mary High School in Rutherford from 2006 to 2009. During her tenure, she directed the concept and execution of the inaugural Spring Scholarship Fundraising Gala, which continues to be a success to this day, and secured alumni artist and corporate contributions for silent auctions. Ellen is a lifelong learner, having pursued studies at prestigious institutions such as The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Ramapo College of New Jersey, Caldwell University, and Parson School of Design. Her diverse educational background includes degrees in Fine/Studio Arts, Fashion Design, and Business Administration, reflecting her multifaceted approach to leadership and innovation.
