The Gambert shirt making tradition started on Springfield Avenue in Newark, NJ in 1933 when Joseph J. Gambert opened his first shop. That craftsmanship continues today with his son Mel Gambert and grandson Mitch Gambert making shirts for retailers around the country, as well as continuing to service the greater NY/NJ metropolitan area. Patterns are still hand cut and sewn using the finest fabrics from around the world. The product list includes custom made men's and women's dress and sport shirts as well as ready to wear shirts.
