Principles of Lean Manufacturing with LIVE Simulation

Principles of Lean Manufacturing with Live Simulation is an eight-hour workshop that combines comprehensive classroom presentation with hands-on simulation of a production facility. NJMEP offers this introduction for manufacturers in pursuit of manufacturing process improvements. In this workshop, NJMEP introduces the basic concepts of lean manufacturing and demonstrates the tools and methodology necessary to implement “lean” on the shop floor.

Participants will gain an understanding of the non-value added activities in manufacturing and learn how to improve productivity by applying standard work, visual controls, set-up reduction, batch size reduction, point-of-use storage, quality at the source, pull systems and more.
